Microcurrent Therapy

Page Title

Elizabeth is the only licensed voice therapist to utilize Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) as an adjuvant to traditional voice and stuttering therapy. FSM is an electrophysical modality used in pain management widely by medical professionals around the world to decrease overall healing times and reduce neurogenic and muscular pain.

Elizabeth's clients have been those with vocal nodules, granulomas, muscle tension dysphonia, long haul COVID voice challenges, muscle weakness, and stuttering.

FSM is proposed to work with cell membrane function, reduce inflammation, and promote healing by maintaining intracellular Ca2þ homeostasis and upregulating ATP production. Previous studies have reported the efficacy of micro-
current in improving muscle function in musculoskeletal conditions such as delayed onset muscle soreness, congenital muscular torticollis, spastic myocontracture in cerebral palsy, and age-related muscle weakness.

I was having trouble sustaining my voice very long without losing it. It would get strained, quiet, thin, phlegmy and tired.  This was all post Covid. I was so disheartened by the loss of my voice as an actress and singer. My artistic life felt hopeless.

A few weeks into this treatment, I began to regain control of my voice, and regain hope in my career. Each time I received the microcurrent treatment, I’d feel fatigue for a day but then my voice would be noticeably stronger the following days. Much faster improvement I’d imagine.Elizabeth was so incredibly kind, patient and thoughtful throughout this process.

I’d recommend her and this treatment to any entertainers suffering from Long Haul post COVID effects in a heartbeat.
